What they did to you publicly was horrible and a grave injustice. After you were vindicated no retraction or apology. Disgraceful. After knowing you for so many years after you, Wendy and I met at Broad Channel Day camp I was shocked at the accusations brought against you. Because the David Friend I knew is a man of character and integrity and I didn't recognize the man they were accusing of such terrible behavior in the workplace. Another CBS employee suffering unmerited indignity at the direction of some definitely unenlightened woke policy dictators with complete disregard for truth and neutrality. Clearly the New York Times and Washington Post “journalists” march in lockstep. When will everyone truly wake up to this deceit?
I have lost all respect for CBS. Shari Redstone stood up for what's right and that is that Tony Dokoupil did nothing wrong --he's a great journalist! Ta Nahisi Coates doesn't deserve to be on any show and I hope his books don't sell. He's a mean spirited,jew-hating liar.

Thank you for the excellent exposee. I do take issue with your parting thought to your Jewish former colleagues at CBS. "Heads down, mouth shut..." is what enabled the woke totalitarians to infiltrate and destroy the media, academia, and our society that had been based on facts, truth, justice, and decency. The correct response, one of self-dignity and moral courage, is to stand up, be heard, and resist ! Don't duck on "wobbling knees." Sure they are likely to be fired but the NY Post and other employment exist (think Bari Weiss and podcast success). And maybe, they will start a backlash revolution but other same staffers. Revolution works both ways.
The times call for all of us, "to take up arms against a sea of troubles; and by opposing, end them."
These attitudes run up and down the news departments of CBS and all the way to the top. As an example, Bob Schieffer was a Venerable newscaster on Face the Nation for some 25 years. I religiously watched the show as a source of unbiased reporting. I never knew what Bob’s political leanings were. He just reported the facts. Then came Dickerson, Who was sacked after three years, bringing in the Margaret Brennan era. What a hack she is. The most obvious and biased left-wing anchor to ever appear on a mainstream media “news” show, and that says a lot given what is going on today in the mainstream media. It is really a shame that the only place to go for anything close to fair and balanced programming is Fox News.
David, it was never right to publicly cancel you. Or privately for that matter, you did nothing wrong. Sadly, you have a unique perspective on the Tony Dokoupil case. He was just doing his job as a reporter.

I’m a little late commenting on this but my question is how we got here in the first place.
Did we vote for too many liberals/lefties, did we ignore what is happening in our universities?
Is it too late to start turning this around? Posting this on social media is not going to change anything.
