USA's Scary Primaries
Late May primary elections don’t usually garner much attention. Turnouts are low. Voters are distracted by work, weather and whatever.
But not this year. Several primaries were held this past week that received lots of notoriety, some for the candidates’ hatred of Jews.
Two congressional races in particular caught my attention, one Democrat, one Republican, over the antisemitism that was spewed.
In Kentucky, it was the Jew-hater Thomas Massie vs. the Trump backed Ed Gallrein.
It was the most expensive House primary in US history. More than $32 million spent.
Thankfully, Massie lost. President Trump called him “an obstructionist and a fool”, but instead of blaming Trump for his defeat, for voting against the president on things like the “One Big Beautiful Bill,” Massie, of course, blamed the Jews.
In his concession speech before his supporters, Massie said he “would’ve come out sooner, but [he] had to call [his] opponent and concede, and it took a while to find Ed Gallrein, in Tel Aviv.”
No surprise he stayed in character. Massie has been a Jew-hater for a long time.
In an interview with CBS News right before the primary, Massie said “they” are trying to buy a Congressional seat in Kentucky. And by “they” Massie said AIPAC, the Republican Jewish Coalition and Miriam Adelson.
Those rich, dual-loyal, lurking Jews trying to defeat a congressman in a northern Kentucky district that is heavily Republican, more than 86% white and overwhelmingly Christian.
There’s something else that really disturbs me about his race, and I’ll get to it in a moment, but first, there’s a Democrat antisemite to discuss.
Her name is Maureen Galindo and she’s running for Congress in Texas’ 35th district, near San Antonio. She bested her nearest challenger and will face him in a runoff election.
No closet antisemite she, no, no, no.
Ms. Galindo says an ICE detention center in her district should be turned into a prison for “American Zionists and former ICE officers for human trafficking.”
And if that wasn’t enough, she went on to say that the prison “will also be a castration processing center for pedophiles which will probably be most of the Zionists.” She accused her opponent of being “paid by Zionist terrorism and trafficking.”
In the past, Galindo has said Jews run Hollywood and worship at the “synagogue of Satan.” Beth Satan? Sons of Satan? The Satanic Jewish Center?
But her antisemitism is no joke. It’s even too much for, would you believe it, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. AOC said “this bigoted garbage and antisemitism should be nowhere near our politics.” (Yet, she endorsed a victorious Pennsylvania congressional candidate who called the Bondi Beach massacre of Jews in Australia a Zionist false flag operation.)
Kudos to all the Jewish members of Congress who have publicly declared they are supporting Galindo’s runoff opponent. Extra kudos to Representatives Jared Moskowitz and Josh Gottheimer, who say that if she wins, they will force votes everyday in the House to have her expelled.
I guess by now, in an America awash in antisemitism, the bile coming from the Galindos and the Massies, while very troubling, is not particularly shocking. (Isn’t it shocking just to say how not shocking it is?)
But here’s what I really find hard to get my head around; the thousands and thousands of Americans who voted for these two Jew haters.
Massie got more than 47-thousand votes. Galindo got 16-thousand.
In Massie’s case, 47-thousand voters didn’t say, you know what, anyone who’s pushing those age-old tropes, that powerful, dual loyal Jews are controlling the election, is not the candidate for me. Instead they said, I’ll vote for him even though he’s villainizing the Jews.
Galindo’s case is even more extreme. Sixteen thousand voters said, Good for you, Maureen, let’s lock up those stinking Zionists and castrate them. We’re with you on that.
So, I can draw only two conclusions about the people who voted for them.
1. They too are antisemites.
2. The candidates’ Jew hatred obviously didn’t disqualify them in the eyes of the voters.
Either way, it’s bad news for American Jews and for America.
Not too long ago, people got cancelled for micro-aggressions. Not too long ago, people were ostracized for merely not listening to other people’s truths.
Now, by the thousands, people vote for candidates whose Jew-hating psychosis is part of our democratic election process.
As I said before, for me, that’s the part I cannot get my head around.

We are all disgusted and tired of our civic degeneration. Express outrage by attending anti-Mamdani rally this Tuesday, May 26th at 7pm at Gracie Mansion, East End Avenue & 88th St.
I will be there with my poster "Mamdani is the one and only true Nakba."
Don’t forget the campaign of self harming Jew Brad Lander in NY who posted his smarmy video of himself praising Allah
