Interesting comments. If anyone in history deserved the Nobel Peace Prize it was President Trump.

TDS is worldwide phenomenal supportive by communists, terrorists and others on the left.

CBS will continue to deteriorate unless it digs out all that WOKE LEFTIST BS.

The world is at a Nexus. We have two choices. Continue to deteriorating until the worst elements of Communism and terrorism have real worldwide control of everything and turn the world into a dysfunctional beehive destroying Humanity. The other alternative is freedom and responsibility and Humanity. There is only one race, human. We need to all be sure which direction it is headed. Many voices can be heard rational logical thinking must endure. If you haven't read 1984, you should. It is one version of the end of humanity as we know it.

Sorry about any typos. The editing system here is very primitive.

First order of business, get rid of that woke hack Margaret Brennen who turned the respected Face the Nation enterprise in a kindergarten editorial for the Left.

Wonder if she made a mistake, based on info from this column. She would have cont’d to make stronger and more positive impact on journalism remaining independent. All her $ will be taxed to oblivion by the city & state.

"My advice to Weiss is to hire a couple of highly-seasoned journalists with lots of TV news experience, who aren’t worried about building their resumes, who are smart and tough and who are totally aligned with her news philosophy"...FWOB, there is someone initialed DF out there who has actual experience with CBS News and whom otherwise fits the bill you laid out!

Time will tell about Ms. BW's tenure at CbS. Speculation is useless. I, for one wish her well.

On your opening point about Donald Trump not getting the Nobel prize for peace – – were you aware that the deadline for nominations was the end of January 2025? That would've been just two weeks into his second term as president of the United States. No one had nominated him by that deadline. He was not eligible for this year's Nobel peace prize. Period. Full stop. He has not been nominated by many people – – so maybe next year. I would say he fully deserves it, next year. He simply was not eligible this year and the Nobel committee has never ever made an exception like the one you were suggesting.

Excellent column. Always on point. Great advice to Bari Weiss. The huge amout of money she was offered is so tempting for anyone. She is going to have a tough time in her new position. Trump is praised in Israel and the devil here in the USA. Let's hope all the hostages are indeed released when promised. I wasn't surprised Trump didn't receive the Nobel Peace Prize and didn't like what the committee said about the criteria for who they award this Prize to.

My thoughts exactly! Who better than you, David. Full circle.
